Through this enterprise, I have done contract research and development of algorithms and software, including medical image processing, biomedical data analysis, machine vision, and DSP programming. I also do photography, videography and website development.

Here, in a laser imager development group, I have worked as a Product Development Specialist and Senior Imaging Scientist, analyzing systems such as laser imagers and developing methods, algorithms and software tools to optimize their image quality, using C, C++, and Java.

Through ASI, I worked as a Software Consultant at 3M. This included embedded real*time software development and applied research and development in the areas of imaging algorithm and software for medical systems (doing C and C++ programming on multiple platforms).

Here, I played a lead role in developing medical 2-D and 3-D imaging algorithms and software for DMI's workstations. Most work was done in C. Time*critical algorithms were implemented in assembler or microcode.

As an Applied Mathematician/Computer Scientist, I led in the algorithm and software development for a new CT scanner. I subsequently created, staffed, and became Manager of the Computer Science Group at PMSI.

Here, I worked as a Systems Programmer in the Medical Systems Center, developing software for clinical laboratory and nuclear medicine applications, using Honeywell computers and a real*time operating system.

Here, I worked as a Systems Programmer, developing software for clinical laboratory computer systems.

Working as a Research Associate in the Biophysics Group, I designed and implemented both electronic hardware and software for a computer system used in biomedical research, including electrocardiography simulations.

I continued the Ph.D. research in x*ray astronomy which I had begun at the University of Minnesota.
