Thomas Lipscomb is a Professor of Educational Research at The University of Southern Mississippi where he also served as department chair and associate dean. He is retired as Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Southeastern Louisiana University (SLU) where he served as Head of the Department of Psychology. Dr. Lipscomb held the rank of (full) Professor in both Psychology and Marketing at SLU. He is a recipient of the President’s Award for Teaching Excellence at SLU. Dr. Lipscomb was an affiliate member of the graduate faculty at Louisiana State University (LSU).He earned the B.A. degree in psychology from Louisiana State University in New Orleans (now UNO) and the M.S. degree in psychology from the University of New Orleans. He holds the Ph.D. degree in psychology with a specialization in developmental psychology from LSU. Dr. Lipscomb is licensed to practice psychology in the State of Louisiana.Dr. Lipscomb has supervised psychological services in public schools and at a large residential center for developmentally disabled persons. He also served as a consultant to the State of Louisiana and to private providers in the area of developmental disabilities. Dr. Lipscomb was also a member of the medical staff at a large comprehensive medical center.
