The Plant Engineering (PE) Supervisor protects UPS assets including buildings, equipment, and grounds. Supervises facility maintenance, housekeeping, environmental and labor compliance, safety, and conveyor system reliability. I assure compliance with UPS Hazardous Materials Procedures and national and international regulations that govern the transportation of hazardous materials (hazmat) and non-hazardous regulated goods (e.g., tobacco, alcoholic beverages, etc.) through audits, confirming completion of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), training employees, and supporting Business Development (BD) in its interactions with affected shippers. Responsible for ensuring environmental and safety compliance at the district level for all facilities (e.g., reviews applicable facility regulations, conducts audits, performs trend analysis for compliance activities, etc.). I design safe and efficient conveyor layouts to meet organizational needs for expansions, retrofits, and new buildings. I create conveyor electrical designs according to UPS and federal regulations and standards and provides support for new and existing UPS facilities. I develop, test, and deploy software and hardware solutions. I have the available to support the Plant Engineering Information Systems (PEIS) department's developed programs and websites and advises personnel on software and hardware questions. Have to maintain the documentation of UPS building standards and specifications, assists the field with issues related to building standards and specifications, updates construction project documentation, and provides drafting and web support services. I manage construction projects of low to moderate complexity and risk (i.e., conveyor installations and facility modifications), ensures adherence to contract documentation, scheduled timelines, and cost control parameters.

Troubleshoot, calibrate, and adjust plant floor devices as necessary to maintain optimal performance of plant floor equipment. Manage sort calls, breakdowns and expedite their completion. Provide information to maintenance mechanics on how to complete required repairs to resolve breakdown situations. Assist in solving the daily problems inherent in keeping the conveyors or physical facility in good working order. Support Building Supervisor in sustaining healthy Maintenance Operator Report.
