Taught Social Studies at Sullivan High School in Chicago's Rogers Park community from Fall of 2004 until Summer of 2007Taught Social Studies/English Language Arts at John C. Coonley Elementary School in the North Center/Lincoln Square community from Fall of 2007 until retiring from CPS in March of 2014Prior to returning to school and earning my BA in History/Secondary Education, I was employed by Northwest Airlines as a Customer Service Agent in Chicago from 1979 until 2001 when I left to pursue a career in education.

I worked reservation sales, confirmation/pre-paid ticket/rate desks at Northwest's reservation center in Chicago from 1979 until 1984.In 1984 I transferred from the reservations office to O'Hare where I worked ticket counter, gate, and cargo operations in a variety of positions until May of 2001 when I returned to college.
