I pour cokes and wear a name tag.I can go on at length about my safety and security training and responsibility, but every flight attendant will list this.I fly almost exclusively between LAX and JFK. As Purser I oversee a crew of 6 flight attendants. I am not the boss, I am the one that attends to the issues and details to ensure the crew is able to perform their jobs. Servant Leadership.I deal directly with Management, ticket and gate agents, mechanics, pilots, cabin cleaners, audio and video techs, hotel and limo services, catering and the PASSENGERS.I oversee the implementation of management policies and guidelines. I also perform these duties while being aware of FAA rules and regulations.In all direct dealings I am regularly involved in conflict resolution. I am able to discern the essence of disputes between a variety of parties and regularly reach a successful resolve.
