Membership grew 34% YOY in 2016-17. -Assisted with planning and execution of weekly club events including documentary screenings, academic literature reviews, and guest lectures. -Co-administrator of club membership roster, social media accounts, and treasury. -Secured funding for student travel to the 2016 AAMC Minority Student Medical Career Fair in Seattle, and local 2017 Society for Neuroscience Chapter Meeting.-Successfully petitioned PSU Organization Budget Council for a two-thirds increase in club budget for 2017-18.-Organized travel plan to Washington, D.C. in November 2017 for club members to attend and present at Neuroscience 2017 (international Society for Neuroscience annual conference), address the Congressional Neuroscience Caucus (chaired by Rep. Earl Blumenauer), and perform outreach visits to D.C. area schools. -Club received inaugural Service Organization of the Year Award, and Service Recognition Program Gold Award from the PSU Student Community Engagement Center for community science outreach done by members in partnership with local non-profit NW Noggin.
