Newton CFV technology is the new standard for flow and ratio control in the beverage dispensing and food equipment marketplace. As Product Manager, my primary role with Newton CFV was to provide organization and leadership to ensure the successful introduction of new products. My duties included new product introduction, establishing manufacturing agreements with suppliers, resolving quality/RMA issues with customers and vendors, product sourcing, As Procurement Manager, my duties included forecasting, procurement, inventory management, and supply chain management. VDC Display Systems – VDCDS is one of the world's leading providers of innovative display systems, and has provided more than 5,000 simulation and training display systems as a contractor on multiple Federal contracts to support the United States Air Force, Marines, National Guard, Navy and commercial businesses. They utilize the latest technology to develop visual systems that transform complex display requirements into reality.As the Materials Manager for VDC, I supervised a staff responsible for the purchasing of materials, inventory planning and control, and logistics. I negotiated agreements with suppliers, keeping lean manufacturing principles in mind, to ensure procurement with minimal working capital investment. I worked closely with the sales, production, and engineering teams in order to secure a continuous supply of materials in order to meet production and shipping deadlines. I also redesigned the warehouse layout, installed pallet racking, and implemented a bin location system. I then filtered one million dollars worth of obsolete and excess inventory out of the active warehouse and created standard operating procedures to monitor inventory.

Operations Manager of Apio's East Coast Division of GreenLine Foods in Vero Beach Florida, a food processing plant that supplies all of Florida with fresh produce. Managed Production, Warehouse, Sanitation, Maintenance, Logistics, and HR/Administration departments. Maintained effective communication between each department to ensure product quality, customer demand and financial objectives were met.Developed, supported and maintained a safe & sanitary work environment through safety related training programs / initiatives, preventative maintenance, diligent inspection methods, and corrective actions resulting in 100% passing rate of "Food Safety Audits".Applied continuous improvement methods, Lean Manufacturing principles, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to establish case quotas and measure pounds per man hour resulting in a reduction in labor dollars per case.Continued professional development with courses in 5S methodology training, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Certification, Training in Oliver Wight Master Scheduling, CPR/A Adult First Aid Certification and Fork Lift Certification.

-Plant Manager / Operations Manager for The Zeroll Co. (The Legal Companies), a manufacturer of die cast aluminum ice cream scoops and other kitchen utensils and smallwares for the retail and foodservice markets.-Responsible for the relocation of the entire company from Toledo, Ohio to Florida. Created the production floor layout, installed the equipment, hired & trained employees and was back to business as usual in just two weeks time.-Zeroll implemented a new manufacturing-based ERP operating software called "SYSPRO". -Ensured compliance with OSHA regulations and served as company liason with the Health Dept. and the EPA resulting in zero emissions of onsite industrial waste.-Engineered improvements to existing die casting tooling which resulted in a significant increase in tooling life and providing scheduling flexibility while reducing post finishing requirements and production costs.-Planned and supervised production, prepared master production schedule, shipping schedule, and post production reports. Hired and trained new employees, gave performance evaluations, and disciplinary action. -Procured new & used production equipment and redesigned the manufacturing floor layout & installed the equipment. This streamlined the process which led to a 1,000 % increase in capacity.-Designed, fabricated and installed a custom semi-automated liquid filling / portioning system.-Installed custom robotic cells which led to an increase in quality control, consistency & a reduction post finishing requirement and scrap, all leading to lower costs of finished goods.-Designed new products and re-designed existing products, some of which were awarded Trade Dress and Patents from the United States Patent Attorney's office. I was also the Product Manager of new and existing products from a conceptual idea all the way through the process of design specifications, tooling, manufacturing, packaging, marketing, and product launch.
