About Thomas Mcnamee

Welcome to my profile, I am a young coach looking to develop youth players on and off the field. I have a deep passion for coaching and working with youth players, which has stemmed from my own experiences as a professional player and coach working overseas. My confidence and ability to adapt to new environments have been key to my career progression, and I’ve been able to expose myself to all levels of abilities; from beginners to elite professionals within the sporting industry. In my opinion I would add value to any athletes I work with, as I have first-hand knowledge of the youth player process and understand what it takes to become a professional footballer. From this experience, I understand the pressures that youth players must go through to achieve their goals in the modern-day game, and I think this would be a great tool to help guide and mentor players as they continue to develop in the youth system. I’ve also had a strong foothold in the strength and conditioning industry, working with youth players and the general population. Managing and overseeing teams of trainers in a functional training facility. This has given me the dual ability to coach players technically and physically to a high standard of daily delivery. I want to continue with my career pathway to help youth footballers excel and try to achieve their potential. I am determined to continue to push myself and improve as a young coach working with players individually and collectively to maximise player development.
