After spending several years in the military and recently returning from an overseas deployment, I became inspired to pursue a new venture in the civilian business sector. I am currently pursuing an MBA through the University of Montana and plan to graduate in the spring of 2020. My military career has laid a strong foundation in leadership, team building, and management of assets that will serve me well in future endeavors. I am excited to pursue this new opportunity and look forward to where it may lead my professional career.I initially enlisted into the military as a Blackhawk Helicopter mechanic in 2010. Over the course of 8 years, I have taken advantage of the opportunities afforded to me and I have risen to become a helicopter pilot and company commander, responsible for leading a group of aviators and support personnel. Because I began my career at the lowest level, I have developed an important perspective centered on respect and understanding that aids in effective leadership and teamwork. While I plan to continue to serve with the Montana Army National Guard, I hope to develop an equally successful career in the civilian sector. Through my military career, I have developed a unique set of skills related to providing effective management and leadership in high stress situations. As I begin my civilian career, it is my goal to apply those skills to new environments.
