I am currently in my third year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) at The University of Waikato and studying to complete a major in Software Engineering. I was inspired to pursue a career in the computer and software industry after studying computing where I had a passionate teacher in high school and loved the thrill of solving difficult problems. I enjoy working in a team to complete a project and can relate well to and work alongside people from varied backgrounds. I am interested in all aspects the software industry, but in particular working with applied software solutions in areas such as automation, robotics, and electric vehicles. I am excited about pursuing career opportunities in an environment of rapidly expanding technologies in the software industry. I have spent many summers going camping with my family and friends going surfing or playing volleyball with them. Also, during the summer, I love to go sailing with my family and going spearfishing, and in the winter, I always try to get down to the mountain to get a bit of skiing in. In my downtime, I enjoy reading a good book and playing video games, and I also find this a good way to keep in contact with my old school friends. Currently, while I am studying, I keep fit by regularly attending the gym and running.
