I am a BA/MIA student at the University of California San Diego's School of Global Policy and Strategy. My career goal is to work in foreign policy or international relations. As an undergraduate, I have taken coursework in political science, economics, history, religion, linguistics, and data science. Throughout this wide range of fields, I have sought to forge connections between varying concepts that have a major impact on global politics today. In this highly globalized and industrialized world, an ever-larger number of factors play a role in the decisions of leaders and policymakers, and I want to gain an understanding of as many of those factors as possible. From a young age, I have had a calling towards public service. It is still my great desire to work in a role that directly serves the people of the United States and of the world, and I have pursued experiences during my college years to help prepare me for that goal. As a student leader, I aim to uplift and empower my peers and make a positive impact on the university community. With my work in student government and as a Resident Advisor (RA), I interact with a large swath of UCSD students in any given week, many of whom are facing distressing or disheartening situations and come to me for assistance. This has helped me understand just how impactful I can be on the lives of people around me when I devote myself fully to serving others.
