Under the general supervision of the Estate Manager performs duties including, but not limited to; developing and implementing security policies, protocols, and procedures. Controlling budgets for security operations and monitoring expenses. Recruiting, training and supervising Estate Protective Services Officers. The Estate Protective Services Manger organizes and oversees all security operations of the Estate. Exhibits a strong commitment to security rules and knowledge of hazards and threats to security of the Estate. Must exhibit strong leadership skills. Create a harmonious work environment and preserve an atmosphere where the Estate Trustee, employees, visitors and property are safe and well-protected. May perform the duties of an Estate Protective Services Officer as required.The Estate Protective Services Manger will work with the Estate Manager and other Estate Administrative staff to develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures.Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses. Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs. Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events. Review all Security Violation Reports. Create reports for management on security status. In October 2021 the Estate Manager became ill, went to the hospital and subsequently passed away from Covid related illnesses. Consequently, the entire Estate went through a full reorganization and took a totally new path, sans Estate Protective Services. It was nice while it lasted and I had assembled a very good crew to work with. We all had great expectations, but life, and death, gets in the way at times.
