Qualified and stood watch with reactor critical and shutdown with ship underway and in-port as Engineering Watch Supervisor (EWS), Engineering Duty Petty Officer (EDPO), Shutdown Reactor Operator (SRO), Electrical Operator (EO), Throttleman, Auxiliary Electrician Aft and Radiological Control Point Access Watch.As the Leading First Class Petty Officer for an Electrical Division of 12 personnel, managed the preventative maintenance programs for the electrical distribution system associated with the nuclear propulsion plant, to include the 450 volt AC steam turbine generators, 110 volt AC electrical subsystems, 450 volt AC diesel generator, 355 volt DC ships battery and all off-hull high voltage electrical connections.Coordinated the training program for a nuclear engineering department of over 40 personnel as the Engineering Department Training Assistant (EDTA). This included developing training schedules, writing exams with answer keys, proctoring written exam periods, grading written exams and collected training performance statistics for review by chain of command.Personally recognized for superior performance by 2 Navy Achievement Medals during this posting.

Instruction included classroom training , individual on the job training and proctored written exams.Operated the Fleet Interactive Display Equipment (FIDE), which functioned as a maneuvering room simulator, to conduct student training on reactor plant transients and electrical power configurations.
