Coming from an Electrical and Mechanical background with experience in a Manufacturing, Industrial and Domestic Environment, I now have been given the opportunity to expand and up skill into the Wind Turbine Industry through the Kerry ETB Training Centre. The new Wind Turbine Maintenance Technicians Course with a City & Guilds level 2 and 3 Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering Wind Turbine Operations and Maintenance(2339-18/53) Certification, with comprehensive experienced training on the Vestas V47 and V52 Turbines on site. Use of VPM Ground Controller, Top Box Remote Controller, Service mode tests and Alarm logging. Hydraulic pressure testing, Hydraulic component replacement, Electrical component replacement, Use of Hydraulic High-Torque Wrench, Shaft alignment, Fault Finding, Reading of electrical and hydraulic circuit drawings Preventive maintenance and servicing, including all work height, rescue and safety training.The course includes 10 weeks+ work based in-company training to be scheduled towards the end of May 2015.Work Placement now secured with ENERCON Windfarm Services Ireland Ltd Start date 11 May - Based out of Co. Sligo.UPDATE - Permanent full-time position secured with ENERCON Ireland - July 2015
