11 Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Search Regiment, Royal Logistic Corps.• I lead an excellent team of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Operators, whilst also performing bomb disposal duties in the North West. I also act as an SME on ammunition and explosives.• Cultivated formidable team of explosive ordnance disposal, autonomously making decisions whilst managing time and resources with little external managerial input, ensuring 24/7 EOD cover was maintained 365 days a year.• Responsible for £5 million+ of specialist kit and equipment, regularly checked and maintained to sustain mission success.• Implemented new working practices to deal with sensitive situations arising from welfare of team members; completely changed culture of team and removed toxicity from environment resulting in a much more effective and united team.• Ensured meticulous safety standards were adhered and maintained detailed records of ammunition storage to prevent any risk to life.• Developed detailed experience of risk whilst performing UK explosive ordnance disposal duties, which I regularly draw on to ensure the best and safest practices are maintained.• Liaised and formed relationships with multiple organisations and institutions both inside and outside of Army (e.g. police forces, academic institutions); ensured sharing of knowledge and built relationships to improve Troop performance.

• A 20-month course that involved the study of explosives and ammunition including manufacture, storage and disposal (both conventional and improvised devices).• Required the learning and retention of vast amount of novel information such as Maths, Physics and Chemistry.• Whilst on the whole being an academic course I also became experienced in how to deal with threats and risk, when I completed the Defence Explosive Ordnance Disposal course.

29 Regiment Royal Logistic Corps The Regiment specialised in Movement Control and Postal and Courier services.Troop Commander• Developed transformational leadership style by commanding team of 30+ soldiers. Managed aspects of their career such as progression, training and their welfare. This ensured they were always ready to deploy overseas, sometimes at very short notice.• Interacted with soldiers to coach and mentor them through their careers, and listened to their problems to formulate solutions. • Deployed to Middle East to survey and formulate analysis on various aspects of personnel logistics chain and ultimately made proposals that were taken forward to improve air bridge experience. Operations Officer• Made tough decisions and managed expectations of soldiers whilst selecting them to deploy overseas, sometimes at short notice. • Constantly forecast personnel availability in an ever changing and dynamic environment to meet operational demands, without which would have caused multiple overseas deployments to fail.

• I participated in the Regular Commissioning Course where I developed my leadership and management skills in an intense military environment.• I further gained resilience as I was exposed to stressful situations on a regular basis that I had to deal with.• I was taught the army process for planning known as 'the estimate'. I became adept at formulating and instigating detailed plans, whilst maintaining flexibility in constantly changing scenarios.• On completion of the course I was commissioned into the Royal Logistic Corps.
