An IT department in an organization’s sole purpose is to seamlessly assist the organization achieve its goals. Sounds pretty basic, right? Yet in many organizations, this does not seem to be the case. People complain that their IT department does not care, is not responsive, and never really resolves issues. IT is seen as a necessary evil, a cost center, and crisis oriented. Many times, the IT department is looked at as an expensive outside contractor, and does whatever it wants to do. Are new systems or upgrades introduced at the least convenient time? I am a proven IT leader, with a track record of developing IT teams and systems to meet an organization’s needs, to ensure the organization achieves its goals.
