From September 2024 to December 2024, I am undertaking pre-service training prior to beginning my service as a Peace Corps Volunteer. The sessions focus on Sesotho language competency, cross cultural sensitivity, and technical skills related to my work as an HIV/AIDS Adolescent Health Advocate.

- Administered the 2024 youth summer basketball program, which had over 150 participants and 6 weekly sessions- Organized the teams, uniforms, officials, and equipment needed for the program- Communicated the weekly schedule with parents and Department of Recreation staff - Supervised 10 Department of Recreation staff members who worked as scorekeepers and the front desk

- Co-managed groups of 10 to 20 campers aged between Kindergarten and 6th grade in the summers of 2019, 2021, 2023, and 2024- Led activities including arts and crafts, sports, and playground time - Practiced behavior management and crisis management skills

- Awarded a competitive fellowship that required weekly reflection, 225 hours of experience, and career skills building activities- Wrote request for proposals documents on the Town’s Climate Action Plan and Town Center Transportation and Multimodal Study- Evaluated over 100 tax title properties for redesignation based on topography and the abutting properties- Compiled information to create a Five-Year Plan report for the Town’s Fleet Maintenance Division - Learned a variety of local government functions including budgeting, zoning, and provision of services

- Instruct students for 1.5 hours per week about French course concepts and study strategies- Teach students written and grammatical skills in the French language

- Assist undergraduate students in a variety of fields with their writing assignments five hours per week- Display analytical, communication, and pedagogical skills to help student writers

- Elected as Vice President by the Wooster Model United Nations team in April 2023- Conducted tryouts for the Model United Nations traveling team- Presented on research, writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills at weekly Model United Nations practices - Facilitated activities during practices that promote team building and improve team members’ skills- Led the team to an “Outstanding Delegation” award at the 2023 American Model United Nations Conference, which recognizes the 5 highest-performing teams in a field of 99 delegations- Served as Head Delegate of a team that earned a "Distinguished Delegation" award at the 2024 National Model United Nations Conference

- Led weekly office hour sessions to help students with course content and written assignments- Lectured a class session involving a PowerPoint presentation and posing questions to students- Evaluated multiple writing assignments for content, organization, and grammar

- Facilitated several orientation leader training sessions focusing on goal setting, leadership, teamwork, and creating a welcoming environment- Planned the activities, logistics, and schedule of International Student Orientation with the College's International Student Services office- Led orientation events including game nights, a visit to downtown Wooster, and a bonfire

- Collaborated with a team of three other students to consult members of the College administration on increasing positive engagement with the Wooster community - Developed and administered a survey to 79 City of Wooster community members- Conducted interviews with more than 20 College and community stakeholders- Analyzed survey and interview data to create a strategic framework to cultivate positive encounters with the community- Wrote a 75-page report outlining the team's research methods, findings, and recommendations

- Examined web articles, annual reports, scholarly work, and e-books to identify the leaders of 150+ international organizations and record their tenures- Uncovered information used to update the IO BIO: Biographical Dictionary SGs IOs online database- Edited drafts of 2 separate works of published scholarship- Exhibited attention to detail, time management, and communication by completing all tasks on time and in a quality fashion

- Mentored students during class and 3-hour weekly office hour sessions throughout the semester- Conducted small group discussions and answered students’ questions during class- Advised students on academic and campus life in an approachable manner- Communicated with the professor on logistics, ways to bolster class engagement, and course material
