I oversee the training and management of officers on site (currently QTS) while performing physical security duties to the clients specifications. The duties pertain to maintaining a security presence, facilitating access, and securing facility, (see my security officer position in my experience for an in-depth description) Additionally I assist the client when approached with solutions to customer issues pertaining to security and managing of security related projects.

I worked as a security officer at a data center, my duties consist of facilitating access of customers, employees and contractors to the site. As well as securing the interior and exterior of the building. Monitoring cameras of potential breaches or suspicious individuals all the while giving customer service for customers in need of assistance. Requesting specialized assistance of employees of the site for customers to ensure needs are met. Completing and submitting documents to the site supervisor and emailing other officers of the different shifts to any changes in the building.

Greater Chicago Area

The site 55 e Monroe, known as the Mid-continental Plaza was a contract for Premier Security from Glenstar, the same one that had been previously under a contract with Allied Barton in the years before.My duties remained the same as any other security officer at that site with a few additions to them. As Lead Console Operator of overnight I was responsible for the other officers at the site completing rounds, completing and submitting documents. Notifying others of contractors entering the site while securing the perimeter with fellow officers. Giving status updates to supervisors of the building during emergencies such as fire alarms or "red" alerts (alarms pertaining to the integrity of the building pipes, vents, etc often having to interact with the fire department).

Greater Chicago Area

During this time 55 e Monroe was under a contract for Allied Barton during which towards early September it Allied Barton become Allied Universal till the contract was replaced with another security service that being Premier Security.At this time was I only a security officer with a swing shift filling in for the days off of other officers. I was responsible for securing my section of the building which was divided into 3 main sections Lobby, Adams, and Monroe. While on duty I kept an eye out for suspicious individuals while also giving customer service to those with business during open hours. However after closing the building was still open but limited to only the garage section for customers of the garage and the commercial side. At this time the commercial part was for employees only with proper access while swiping their badge at the front desk. Sometimes required to escort contractors working the late hours at the building or contacting the other businesses of customers waiting in the lobby. I was also responsible for contacting businesses for verification of access to employees who had forgotten their badges.
