Working with We Are The People who are a small research team of disabled academics and non-disabled allies engaged in disability research and disability activism. The team have been awarded a five-year £1million grant from the Wellcome Trust to explore issues which affect disabled people in South West England. I will be working within the Creative Arts theme of the project, supporting and mentoring Community Research Fellows to deliver co-produced research on issues affecting disabled people within the creative arts.

Working across both MA Arts Management and MA Heritage Management on teaching and helping students to find placements within the creative arts, cultural and heritage sectors.

Projects: - HEQR Seed Funded - Southwest Local Community Museum NetworkThis project will bring together cultural heritage staff, such as department leaders to museums volunteers and disabled people/ community groups in BANEs and Somerset, to examine the barriers and enablers of museum access, through a serious of focus groups and semi-structured interviews. Underpinning this project will be an investigation into current practice and support currently present within these museums for people with disabilities, helping to identify the gaps in these practices and support (which could then be targeted in future projects). This project therefore aims to provide the opportunity for networks of knowledge exchange between different heritage organisations, helping them to share the successes and challenges of disability awareness and accessibility practice.- AHRC Frome Museum Project Worked on an AHRC funded research project focusing on creating awareness of disabilities, learning opportunities and the development of inclusive engagement practices through community-led methodologies within museums.

Working in partnership with the National Trust on the New Wave project at the Bath Assembly Rooms, to develop an event or series of events, designed by young people for young people (18-25 years old) as a part of the Heritage Open Days in September 2023.

Managing functions and events in some of the top historical buildings in the UNESCO world heritage City of Bath, e.g. The Roman Baths, and the Assembly Rooms. Operational management and the overseeing of events as they happen, ensuring their smooth delivery and all teams are managed accordingly.
