Advertising And Public Affairs
Plans, develops and manages advertising programs for Active Army and U.S. Army Reserve recruiting within the Company area. Relies upon seasoned judgment to determine which media are best suited to reach potential enlistees. Establishes and maintains favorable working relationships with local media vendors. Plans and supervises sales promotion activities within the Company area. Coordinates with Company operations and local USAR units for use of USAR personnel to support promotional programs. Arranges placement of approved Army and USAR public service announcements with local media outlets. Oversees the management of Company Scholar/Athlete, JROTC awards, Spirit of Nursing awards, Science Fair awards, and the USAREC poster program. Ensures appropriate guidance and program support are provided to recruiting stations. Performs annual inspections of recruiting stations. Plans and supervises all aspects of Command information, public information and community relations with the Company. Oversees publication of Command information products. Arranges local news coverage of recruiting activities. Reviews press releases and prepares responses to news media queries. Coordinates with higher headquarters for the release of information to regional or national media. As Company spokesperson, establishes and maintains professional working relationships with local news media representatives, civic and business leaders and other centers of influence within the Company area. Prepares and/or reviews speeches, briefing and other material prepared for the Company Commander. Monitors the General Officer Sponsor Program and Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army activities. Writes and/or reviews articles for release to the Recruiter Journal, Army Times, Soldiers and other professional publications. Ensures photographic coverage of special events. Monitors the use and scheduling of community relations assets. Ensures appropriate use of Army resources by recruiting activities.
