I am a recently-graduated Mechanical Engineer from Cork, Ireland. Having received a BE (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Ireland, University College Dublin, I have recently moved to Australia to further develop my skills and experience in this field.My dissertation as part of my final year in university focused on the design of a Bluetooth switch-controlled mechanical lever system for individuals with tetraplegia. I also completed an internship with Waterman Moylan Engineering Consultants in order to gain hands-on experience in the engineering field. These allowed me to apply the skills and knowledge gained from my study to practical problems. This work also led me to spend time working on my programming and CAD skills in MATLAB and AutoCAD, respectively.I am passionate about a variety of team sports, including rugby, sailing and motorsport. I have several years of experience working in watersports centres, which involved instructing and coaching clients in each sport, combined with the maintenance and repair of sailing, windsurfing and foiling equipment.
