Lead Research Analyst
Current• Applies a comprehensive understanding of intelligence and national security laws, executive orders, directives, policies, regulations, and precedents aligning with mission and business requirements of the FBI’s Information Management Division (IMD).• Utilizes multiple complex operating guidelines for audit, deconfliction, and final approval of completed intelligence or criminal related products, and briefings generated by junior analysts to be provided to requesting federal agencies. Includes a working knowledge of multiple proprietary platforms, such as the FBI’s electronic case management system, Sentinel, NCIC, and Accurint.• Participates in the provision of feedback focused on continuous process improvement and identification of production inefficiencies. Works with peer-groups to initiate innovative ideas or techniques affecting changes in methods, procedures, and organization of FBI - IMD’s proprietary databases.• Cultivates working relationships with internal and external partners to provide risk assessment, directly aiding in threat identification and elimination, and protection of ongoing investigations. Supports the U.S. Intelligence and law enforcement community in identifying and preventing foreign terrorists or individuals who may commit, aid, or support any kind of criminal act from entering the U.S. via the refugee, visa travel authorization, or immigration process.• Engages with, conducts briefings with peers and leadership involving policy and operational changes to standard operational procedures within the Enterprise Vetting Center workflow. Collaborates with leadership regarding current section metrics, trends, and accomplishment of priority vetting products.
