Tom Simpson is Interim Chief Commercial Officer at Yorkshire Building Society, Tom is responsible for the leadership of a team of 700 people, all brands, products and the commercial performance of the business with a balance sheet of over c£50bn. Prior to this he established and led the YBS Commercial Mortgages business as MD for 5 years, during this time he developed and implemented the business strategy - building a £2bn lending book, growing the team to over 100 people and delivering award winning broker and customer service.Tom has a wealth and breadth of experience in Financial Services which includes strategy consulting experience and over a decade in senior Risk roles prior to taking up the Interim Chief and Commercial Officer role and his time at the helm of YBS Commercial Mortgages. Tom’s focus is firmly set on ensuring that the strategic direction for Yorkshire Building Society is aligned through every touch point to best serve customer and broker needs.
