A graduated from the electrical shop at Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational High School in 1999. This foundation of electrical knowledge landed me the opportunity to work the power restoration efforts after hurricanes left most of Florida without power in 2004, as well as power restoration efforts in states affected from hurricane Katrina. Once power was restored I continued my powerline work locally and afar where and when additional crews were required. I then pursued obtaining my mathematics degree from Salem State University after the recession hit in 2009. After completing my BS in mathematics in 2013, I began my career in teaching as a long term substitute teacher for a maternity leave and was asked to finish that school year out by covering for two additional leaves of absence. From there I worked at a vocational/technical high and middle school before becoming the embedded mathematics teacher at a technical/agricultural high school.
