Electrical Dpeartment Manager with overall responsibility for an electrical engineering group coonsisting of approximately 20 Engineers and Designers serving Commercial, Instututional, State and Local Government and the US Government worldwide.

Manager of Engineering with overall responsibility for a multi-discipline engineering group consisting of mechanical, HVAC, electrical, civil, and structural engineers and designers. This office is focused on executing engineering, construction and design/build projects for the Intelligence Community agencies of the US Government Department of Defense. Projects have ranged from small tenant renovations, to data centers to full design/build office & data center complexes in the war theater.Concurrent with my duties as Engineering Manager, I served as the program manager for a $15M construction project to add a new 25KV electrical service and chilled water plant for a facility in New Mexico.

Site / program manager responsible for supporting ATK and the Army in a modernization of a 60+ year old propellant manufacturing facility in Radford, Va. The initial project involves a $60,000,000 replacement of a nitric acid/ sulfuric Acid concentration facility, life cycle extension of the acid area tank farm and the life extension of an ammonia oxidation plant.

Local office manager/site program manager responsible for site team providing engineering, project management and project engineering services to Pfizer (formerly Pharmacia) in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This team started with 15 engineers and designers and built to over 50 engineers, designers and support staff. The team was responsible for executing a variety of plant engineering projects ranging from $1,000 to over $5,000,000 in scope. The team executed approximately $7,000,000 in services annually in support of Pfizer’s on going renovation and modernization programs in Kalamazoo.

Site project manager responsible for a 20 man site team providing engineering, Project management and Project engineering services to Pfizer (formerly Pharmacia) in Kalamazoo, Michigan.Project Manager for Pfizer (formerly Pharmacia) projects including:• Preparation of a basic design package for an $8MM project to upgrade a clean room suite and add a new Side Discharge Neuche Filter.• Preparation of a basic design package for a $17MM project to expand the production of their steroid based “HF” products.• Preparation of the detailed design package for a $17MM project to expand the production of their steroid based “HF” products.Project engineering manager & technical consultant for a Korean Tobacco & Ginseng project to prepare a technical bid analysis for a new leaf processing facility in Korea.Concurrent with my duties as project manager, I served as chief electrical, instrument and control systems engineer responsible for project staffing, and design quality.Technical consultant on Centeon’s year 2000 compliance program. This project included a complete inventory of the factory floor control systems, Y2K compliance determination and remediation of non-compliant equipment. Technical team leader for a year 2000 compliance audit of RR Donnelly & Sons Company facilities. The first phase of this project was to audit the factory floor systems in 6 facilities, identify all year 2000 issues and develop remediation plans. This served as the model for surveying and remediating the other 46 facilities within RR Donnelly.

6 years as project manager for the “Small Projects” group. This group provided engineering, design and construction management on a variety of projects for specialty chemical and industrial clients. The projects range from a few hundred dollars to $500,000 in services and represent a total of approximately $2.5MM in engineering services per year. Projects included:• R. J. Reynolds Tobacco - Plant engineering projects, Construction management for a $20MM expansion in Malaysia, engineering for a new $15MM facility in Bucharest, Romania, & a new $25MM facility in St. Petersburg, Russia. • Wachovia Bank of N.C. - Installation of a 1500 kW generator & a 500-ton chiller, a 400-ton chiller & chilled water system, fire alarm system at multiple facilities, Renovations of the computer data center. • PPG Industries – Various plant engineering projects and studies. • Stockhausen – Expansion of an existing production facility in Greensboro, NC.• Mallinckrodt Specialty Chemicals Company - A new propane receiving and handling system, storage tank certification studies.• Boehme Filatex Inc - A PLC control system for a production line installed.• Corn Products - Various small projects to design in-plant modifications, Provide on-site Construction Management services.This group also provided engineering services to Allied Fibers, BASF Corp., Glaxo Inc., High Point Chemical Company, Hickson DanChem, Hoechst Celanese, Korean Tobacco and Ginseng, Organon Teknika, Planters & LifeSavers Company, Sara Lee, Wellman Inc., Unitex Chemical Corp. and Vulcan Materials Company.Concurrent with this , I served for 7 years as manager of engineering with responsibility for a 100+ man, engineering group consisting of process, mechanical, HVAC, chemical equipment, material handling, electrical, instrument and control systems, civil, and structural engineers and designers. 5 years as chief electrical and instrument engineer

Lead electrical and controls engineer on several projects including two power alcohol facilities, a hydrogen peroxide skid mounted facility for E.I. Dupont, and an expansion of a water soluble polymer facility for Celanese Plastics & Specialties Company.Electrical field engineer on several projects including a power alcohol facility for K.A.E.C., and two Paper Products facilities for Procter and Gamble. On each of these projects I was part of the engineering and design team prior to the field assignment.Electrical engineer on a variety of projects including a primary processing R&D facility for Phillip Morris; two paper products facilities for Procter and Gamble; several retrofit and upgrade projects for Texas Eastman Co.; a liquefied natural gas facility for Bontang, Indonesia; and several urea, urea granulation, and ammonium nitrate granulation facilities.
