Third-year Psychology student, future I/O psychologist. My passion for psychology brought me to the Harpur College of Arts and Sciences at Binghamton University, where I am working on my BA in Psychology. This semester I am taking Research Methods, a class where I'm learning about conducting a research study, how to use SPSS to analyze, organize, and graph data, and follow APA format guidelines.The most valuable lesson I have learned from BU has been the importance of self-discipline. Keeping on top of assignments, personal goals, and work is tough but I have to hold myself accountable and work hard to achieve what I want in life. Even though I knew I wanted to be a psychology student, I have enjoyed studying music and theater with my general education credits. My classes in Psychology have also provided me with great insights for a future career in a plethora of fields.This year I am considering adding a minor and later, pursue a Google Career certificate in either Data Analytics or Business Administration to broaden my skill set. Next year, I hope to complete an HR internship that will provide real-life experience and important technological skills.
