Teach Deaf Awareness & BSL Level 1 & 2 & 3

I have been teaching BSL levels 1 and 2 for nearly 15 years at various colleges, schools and universities, and to various age groups, and different ethnic and social backgrounds. I also have knowledge of the Signature/CACDP BSL examination specification as I was both an examiner and assessor for that organisation for 8 years. I have a CerEd/PGCE Teacher Training degree, and have a C&G 7307 Stage 1 and 2 Teacher Training Certificate. My past post has responsibilities of teaching BSL to children in school from age 7–16 years & Post 16, also providing some individual or small group support in IT, Maths, Cooking, Physical Education, Graphics and RMT, in Schools & Colleges. I used to work on a peripatetic basis and travel around Nottinghamshire to work with individuals in the local schools & Colleges, also providing them with a Deaf role model and supporting behaviour problems. In 1996-2001 I joined Nottinghamshire County Council working as an Income and Payments Clerk within the Authority’s financial section.I used an IBM mainframe using on OLAS (on-line accounting system) mainframe, and PC’s with software packages which included Lotus 123, Microsoft Windows 95/97/NT/2003/XP and Windows 7, DTP, Word, Internet and Emails on a daily basis.
