The Stafford Township Education Foundation was acclaimed throughout the State of New Jersey during Thomas’ direction as one of the State’s largest, most successful and most unconventional Education Foundations. The Foundation was dedicated to a mission which elevated the overall quality of life in the southern Ocean County region through the support and encouragement of educational and artistic initiatives. As a separate entity, but dedicated partner of the Stafford Township School District, the Foundation also solidified funding to keep educational opportunities alive and well within the District for both the student and staff populations. Additionally, under Thomas' leadership, the Foundation's Childcare Services evolved to make the Foundation one of the largest multi-site child care providers in Ocean County. The Foundation also programmed and managed the Stafford Township Arts Center (STAC) and its state-of-the-art OceanFirst Theater.

Algonquin Arts, a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation, was founded in 1991 to provide cultural enrichment for residents of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. This mission is accomplished by presenting a wide range of arts programming, including dramatic and musical theatre, dance, musical concerts and film representing a diversity of style and cultural influence, film and mixed media presentations. These presentations are offered to the public in the setting of the 540-seat Algonquin Arts Theatre located in Manasquan, New Jersey, which reopened to the public in 1994 following an extensive renovation.

CATCO created work from a core of artists from central Ohio and surrounding states and looked for plays that spoke. to a Midwestern audience prior to organizational restructuring.

At the time of employment, ASF was the fifth largest Shakespeare Festival in the world. ASF operated as a fully professional regional theatre that produced approximately ten productions each season in association with Actors' Equity Association, The Stage Directors and Choreographers Society and United Scenic Artists union. Productions of Shakespeare were at the artistic core of the company. Broadway musicals, children's productions, American classics and world premieres rounded out the annual offerings at ASF.For ASF, responsibilities included planning, promotion and implementation of ASF's first national tour in more than 10 years. The live touring production of “Taming of the Shrew” and accompanying education and outreach initiatives engaged audiences in 11 states.This role was also responsible, for the planning, promotion and implementation of the Shakespeare Renaissance Fair, a two-day event designed to engage and attract an audience of 10,000 to ASF and the theme-landscaped park. The success of both initiatives was widely praised.
