As part of a new team I was responsible a variety the stabilisation and implementation of new strategic technologies and production processes, in particular acting as a subject matter expert surrounding additive manufacturing capabilities.This involved ensuring the end user manufacturing team became SQEP in Additive CAM data preparation and providing build ready processes which standardised request entry, data integrity, security and record maintenance. Further to I analysed future strategic external capabilities and opportunities for additive as internal manufacture and advised on the development of the supply chain for future contracts.

Within this role I was responsible for deploying a wide range of Lean and Six Sigma Techniques within the build delivery environment. These included running Kaizen Quality Interventions, implementing 5S issue escalation processes, Kanban stock inventories and implementing Poka-Yoke within the production of Manufacturing Instructions.

The role entailed a wide range of roles in BAE Barrow submarines consisting of 3-6 months placements within fields of: Build Strategy, Programme Management, Build Delivery, an Executive Assistant for the Operations Director, Safety Engineering, Continuous Improvement and Cost Estimating. From each of these placements I developed a base level of competency in the skills and tool sets used in these fields, using them to implement a variety of improvements and deliverables in further roles.

In this role I developed tools for the Nuclear Safety Office allowing them to show a greater degree of configuration control in regards to matching safety commissioning requirements to the associated components and systems. These linkages were then required to be added to an oracle database for boat 4.Throughout the internship additional work was carried out the research submarine. Due to previous experience I undertook a leadership role and was responsible for overseeing the project.

A summer internship working alongside the Product Safety Department to increase public awareness in Nuclear Submarine Safety. During the placement I analysed data from the "I Keep Submarines Safe" presentation which was compiled into reports as well as beginning the wider scale publicity of the ideas behind nuclear submarine safety.During the time all interns were also tasked with retrofitting a prototype large model submarine to incorporate new methods of technology and communications.

A full time paid role designing and setting up a computer based document management system in preparation for a major Nuclear Tender Project.

A part time paid role working for Ulverston Town Council to develop and update the ulverstonfestivaltown.co.uk website. Responsible for collecting and collating information associated with local attractions and businesses including developing Facebook and Twitter media interfaces.

A full time paid role based in the Capacity Planning team at Heathrow Airport. I was responsible for analysing and processing large volumes of passenger and dweller survey data from all Heathrow Airports Terminals. Using Microsoft Excel and Word I interpreted the results to compile reports. These reports were essential in assisting the Capacity Planning Team with the short and medium term planning for the Airport.
