I currently hold the role of engineering supervisor within a busy 2nd line maintenance environment responsible for the day-to-day running of pre-planned maintenance activities and the monitoring of lifed aviation assets, such as aircraft radar assemblies, flight systems and optical systems.I work closely with multiple agencies and stakeholders to ensure that safety measure are strictly maintained and that disposal of surplus stock levels is carried out in accordance with government legislation and company policy.Working completely self-supervised, providing legal certification of all engineering activities carried out and relied upon to provide a 24/7 call out/remote response as required by the senior management. Consistently delivering against all KPI needs and meeting all targets to sustain a continued business function while keeping myself and my team’s continued professional development at acceptable levels to carry out required maintenance tasks.

Carrying out varying aircraft maintenance activities on avionics, electrical and hydraulic systems whilst being supervised for core competency assessments and subsequent promotion. I also removed/fitted and replaced where required, complex system components and ensured all scheduled and corrective maintenance was conducted in accordance with the relevant procedures; all while under training.Duties & Responsibilities:• Diagnose complex faults from instructor briefs, reporting as necessary and raising the necessary limitations paperwork and subsequent maintenance work orders to plan and manage daily taskings effectively.• Ensure that all specialist measurement equipment and test gauges are serviceable for use; managing aspects of calibration and replacing items as they expire.• Manage the correct use of tooling and comply with Military Aviation Procedures in regard to tool control measures.• Demonstrate leadership on all aspects of fault rectification, scheduled and out of phase maintenance to maintain operational effectiveness and airworthiness; forecasting subsequent maintenance activities as required.• Liaise with internal and external agencies and stakeholders to achieve KPIs set for the department.• Manage the procurement of all resources required for maintenance.

Responsible for leading tasks in support of operational flight plans and maintaining a duty of care for the servicing of all equipment in a timely manner due to the high volume of operational throughput. Analysing Risk/COSHH Assessments to fulfill all duties in accordance with all relevant policies and legislations. Ensuring my team’s adherence to all laid out standards and awareness to Human Factors engineering reporting within a continuous improvement and ISO governed organisation. I impart current engineering and technical knowledge to all junior and in-experienced staff members; acting as coach, mentor and On-the Job Instructor to ensure personal and professional development. Regularly responsible for updating associated engineering documentation and data capturing software, communicating life cycles and scheduled maintenance data to allow for senior management to make informed decisions and prioritise against perceived shortfalls in business continuity; thus guaranteeing a speedy resolution to unserviceable asset issues and maintaining a tracking system for strategic technical planners to forecast and procure necessary replacement assets as required against the business needs of the organisation.Duties & Responsibilities:• Led a multi-faceted team of 7 engineering technicians to carry out all maintenance and fault diagnosis of components necessary to ensure operational serviceability.• Replenished all COSHH related and consumable stores for use within the department.• Affected engineering instructions as per detailed reports issued for compliance.• Maintained specialist test equipment and high value tooling across a busy and large department.• Managed installed aircraft system’s lifing and associated assets to ensure integrity of components; replacing suspect failed installations and sourcing replacement trackable items to install across the aircraft fleet.
