CurrentCustodian and manager of the Trust's infrastructure, through its entire life cycle, to ensure the safe enjoyment by users and visitors of the canals around Lichfield, Burton, Nuneaton, Coventry, and Rugby (and everything in between!). Safeguarding this unique environment for future generations. This is done through thr inspection and assessment of the built assets, prioritising repair and renewal works, and supporting the front line teams on minor and reactive repair.The Canal & River Trust is charged with looking after one of the largest collections of industrial heritage in the country, covering some 2,000 miles of canals and rivers, and 8,500 different structures (of which the majority are over 200 years old).
