Working within the Infrastructure Protection team, I'm currently assisting the Commercial Development team in TfL with the repurposing of TfL property for redevelopment. This will see land reutilised for housing and commercial space, assisting with the housing shortage in the capital and providing revenue for TfL. Critical to this, will be the assurance that such works are executed in a way so as not to be a detriment to the safe operation of the railway. Collaboration with Technical Authorities both internal and external, and working in close liaison with the development team are critical to my success in this endeavor.Through the application of sound engineering principals, I ensure that protections of TfL infrastructure are locked into the scheme design, from the outline proposals. Providing assurance to the asset owner, and avoiding costly remediation works later on in the development design. Fazeley / Fradley

Responsible for managing asset risk as a member of the Asset Management and Performance Directorate. Charged with maintaining the varied assets that you will find on any 200 year old canal network coving the 120 miles of the Birmingham & Fazeley, Coventry and Ashby canals.

Responsible for providing engineering support and solutions of projects within the maritime environment; as well as undertaking principle structural inspections of assets both within and out of the maritime environment. Responsibilities also included contract management, tendering and permissions applications.

Working as part of the coastal monitoring team, responsibilities included undertaking topographic surveys of the Hayling Island and West Sussex coastlines, Coastal asset inspections along the East Hampshire coastline and assisting on a project to monitor the movement of beach material along the Hayling Island coastline.

Stafford

As part of an industrial placement between the second and third years of my university career, I spent over a year with the Structural Engineering (Minor Works) team within the Property Services Directorate. Responsibilities included providing engineering support on projects, undertaking desk top studies and liaising with the Highways Geotechnical department to procure site investigation services. I was also privileged to be a part of a team looking to undertake a programme of structural monitoring of the listed Shugborough Hall within the Shugborough Estate; home of the late Lord Lichfield.
