I have been practicing family law since 1994. I work with my clients to try to resolve their matter efficiently, ensuring that their rights are protected while also being mindful of the ongoing co-parenting relationship that will exist when there are children. I am willing and able to litigate the dispute to the trial court or appellate courts, if necessary. However, due to the cost and uncertainty of litigation, I use a variety of alternative dispute resolution methods to get my client the best result possible under the circumstances.Aside from representing parties in family law litigation, a significant part of my practice is as a family dispute resolution professional. I serve as a mediator, financial early neutral evaluator, or social early neutral evaluator (child related-issues). In addition, I am often hired or court appointed as a neutral decision-maker to decide disputes as a parenting consultant, arbitrator, or special master. Practice Focus: Complex divorce (e.g. child custody, business valuation issues, complex employee benefits) and interstate and international child custody disputes. Alternative dispute resolution, including early neutral evaluation (social and financial) mediation, arbitration, and special master appointments.When I am not practicing law, I enjoy attending Minnesota Wild games and time on the lake with family and friends.
