I have practicing family for over fourteen years. While I have significant family law litigation experience, I try to find creative solutions for my client to keep them out of court and allowing them to decide their future themselves. I actively pursue alternative to court whether they be mediation, early neutral evaluation, arbitration, collaborative law, or some other process that fits with the needs of a particular client.I am a member of the ABA, MSBA, RCBA, Collaborative Law Institute, am a Fellow and Vice President of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers — Minnesota Chapter, and chair the Second District Ethics Committee. I write and speak on the Uniform Child-Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act, Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, law practice management, and legal ethics.Specialties: I practice in all areas of family law, including complex divorce, child support, paternity, and child custody with an emphasis on interstate and international child custody cases.
