Thomas J. VandervortExecutive SummaryIf past history is an indication of future performance, my successful career in the electric power industry is a very positive and powerful indication that future accomplishments and successes will be attained in the electrical power industry or in other related fields. As a long-term NERC staff, I am continuously involved with high profile issues under the scrutiny of FERC, stakeholders and entities affected by NERC as the ERO. I take pride in the fact that I have always made money or saved money for my organizations. It is a matter of principle that I treat my organization’s funds as my own. My natural tendencies towards success, doing what is right, undertaking challenging work, have made win-win situations a repetitive trend in my career. A guiding principle that I live by is the Golden Rule to treat others as I wish to be treated. This includes my commitment to comply with and promote the applicable federal and state laws regarding equal employment opportunities without discrimination or harassment in all aspects to employment on the basis of race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, citizenship, or other characteristic protected by law.The development of my technical, supervisory, administrative, managerial, and teamwork skill-set can be used by any organization that desires to succeed in business, regardless if it is a for-profit or a non-profit organization. Having devised annual budgets, audited monthly expenses, addressed monthly variances, and reconciled discrepancies has given me inside knowledge of how important it is to set realistic budgets and to operate within those budgets. In conclusion, I am excited for the opportunity to help my future organization be highly successful, profitable, and to establish the organization as an industry leader. Sincerely,Thomas J.
