After being recruited by Elekta to return to Silicon Valley where I started my software career in 1989, as their SVP of Global Software Engineering, I needed to resign to focus on more important family concerns. I took the past few years off from my career to concentrate on my teenage children who had health and education challenges. More than any of my professional accomplishments, I am the proudest of being able to see them successfully graduate from remote home-schooling High School this past year and ready for their next steps.

• Identified and rolled out new engineering process changes critical to successful and efficient product delivery within a SAFe Agile methodology. This brought about the first, successful full system integration release of the largest software/systems integration project in company history.• Identified process and staffing changed needed and successfully returned our Informatics product to #1 KLAS Industry Award recognition. (2/2017)• Created a much needed organization restructuring for 300 staff in three locations. This enabled better leadership by my management staff and resulted in productivity improvements of 25 agile teams.• Managed a budget in excess of $50M; including Research and Development and 3rd party suppliers.• Put in place a growth plan for external suppliers/contractors in India to maintain legacy issues, while increasing our productivity in my core software team in Silicon Valley with new, innovative informatics software products.• Was put in place as the Acting-President of Elekta North America for FDA product regulatory releases.

• Promotion endorsed by CEO and CTO to lead and turn around a struggling Cardiology Department at company headquarters.• Restructured the engineering and support organizations within 90 days, and garnered buy-in from company leadership. This led to an unprecedented, successful delivery of the first Information System in this domain to the market, while breathing new life into existing legacy products via an integration strategy. • Quickly reviewed the technology platform and introduced a much needed upgrade to modern web-client, service oriented software stack.• Engineering leadership to 120 product development staff in 6 locations, including multiple international teams. • Mentored director during advanced leadership training who has since been promoted to VP role.• Lead the engineering teams in development of the company’s largest Artificial Intelligence and Big Data application and data store that enabled tele-health initiatives and predictive health outcome applications.

• Returned the product to #1 KLAS Industry Award recognition by implementing new innovations.• Promoted to form a new Patient Informatics and Healthcare Workflow Department at Germany headquarters location, accepting an international management delegation.• Leadership of multiple international teams in Europe and Asia.• Led a significant portion of the engineering organization to deliver the new generation software platform for Siemens Imaging products.

• Started my career in the US Air Force, then honorably discharged after five years as a Non-Commissioned Officer. I immediately went to work in Silicon Valley for eleven years with quickly increasingly responsible roles as a Computer Systems Analyst, Software Engineer, Software Manager and Director of Engineering. • Completed my Masters Degree in Silicon Valley while working as a Software Engineer at General Electric Aerospace.• Have have engineering and management positions at exceptional companies: General Electric Aerospace, Sun Microsystems, McKesson, NASA and Lockheed Martin.• Lead engineering organizations that put products into the international market: Onocology Information Systems, IT Data Center remote monitoring / administration, Radiology Information Systems, Cardiology Imaging and Information Systems, Health IT software platorms, Satellite and Aircraft Data Analysis and Telecommunication information systems.

During my military career I was fortunate to work in several very challenging areas including Space Systems Operations, Communications, Command, Control, and Intelligence (C3I). This included an international deployment to South Korea and special assignments in the Joint USA/Korea Commmand Center (KAOC).
