Executive leadership and management of The Fred Hollows Foundation’s programming.In 2016 this programming strengthened national health systems and sustained disease control in 25 countries – which supported the screening of 3,100,000 people for eye disease, delivery of 11,200,000 sight saving interventions and the training of over 14,000 medical personnel.

Led a Save the Children integrated development program aimed at enhancing access, quality and use of basic health and education services for children and their families living in Uruzgan Province. This program supported an estimated population of 300,000 beneficiaries in one of the least developed and most insecure provinces in Afghanistan, with a particular focus on women and girls, ethnic minorities and those in remote and under served communities. The programme includes building over 20 schools, establishing and supporting 125 community based schools, supporting women’s community based literacy groups, implementing with local communities over 300 small scale community development projects, and training over 260 community health workers and midwives.The program was funded by AusAID under a multi-year framework, which is one of the largest grants by AusAID to an Australian NGO.

Managing the implementation and resource mobilisation for humanitarian programming in support of over 300,000 refugees (USD 56 M in 2009) – food, cash for work, shelter, protection, water / sanitation, primary health and community mental health;Managing the implementation of human development development programmes, including health, education and social services to approximately 750,000 refugees;Managing USD 136 M of programming and a staff of 4600Advocating on key development and humanitarian issues affecting refugees living in the West Bank.

Provided strategic advice to the Deputy Special Represenative to the Secretary General on issues of significant impact on humanitarian, development and reconstruction efforts in Iraq; Coordinated the work of the UN Humanitarian and Development Policy Group to ensure coherent response strategies and support to the Government of Iraq in line with the International Compact with Iraq.Managed relationships and cooperation with the Multinational Forces including development and operation of a cooperation structure across various geographic locations that enhances coordination of activities and information exchange with the Multi-National Forces Iraq. Managed Humanitarian Affairs Officers in field offices across Iraq ensuring coordinated approaches to implementation and monitoring of humanitarian action.
