Strategic communication lead for The UK Plastics Pact and WRAP's sustainable plastics programme.

As Marketing Manager I had sole responsibility for bringing the Team Spirit brand to life and promoting the products, services and company culture to different markets. The role was multi faceted giving me responsibility in a variety areas. Social Media – To devise and implement social media strategy across multiple platforms. I was responsible for communicating this strategy to all departments ensuring the content was consistent and on brand. PR – One of my key objectives was to instigate and develop the company profile within the events industry. I achieved this by building strong relationships with magazine editors and creating interesting content for them to use in their publications. Brand management and communications – A significant part of my role was to ensure that the Team Spirit brand, its assets and communications used both internally and externally, were managed effectively and were both consistent and on brand. Leading a company re-brand - I was responsible for bringing the company re-brand to fruition. Working in partnership with an external digital and design agency we brought all the new brand assets, website, brand language and merchandise together. Delivering to the team internally and to the marketplace externally. Website – I was responsible for managing all web content ensuring that the website was kept updated and fresh. I worked closely with an external agency on website SEO ensuring that we were ranking highly on Google for the right key words. Event Design and Management - Working in a small and fast paced sales team at Team Spirit gave me the opportunity to work with some of their biggest accounts including Virgin Media, Unilever and dunnhumby, managing events from the sales stage through to event delivery.Photography – I worked closely with a pool of photographers, directing internal photo shoots and briefing photographers on what pictures we needed from an event for use across our marketing channels.

I developed the marketing strategy and built relationships to help grow the brand. I was responsible for delivering the marketing content across multiple social media channels, different media outlets and through e-marketing campaigns. It was crucial for me to build strong relationships with suppliers, agencies, external partners and industry press. This ensured the best support for promoting the brand and to sell events to a wider audience.

Appointed as an intern in October of 2011 I worked in the sales team assisting with the creation of proposals and pricing of events. I was soon fast tracked and asked to work alongside a colleague to manage the sales process of one of the company’s largest events in 2012. This was a 900 delegate conference for Unilever. Following the success of this event I was taken on as a full time team member where they created a role as marketing co-ordinator, a role in which previously no one had specialised.
