Thomas ANDRE is Director of Operations at REN21, the renewable energy policy network for the 21st century. He joined the only global renewable energy multi-stakeholder community first as Project Manager and Analyst within the research team. Thomas contributed mostly to the production of the Renewables Global Status Report and acted as a topical lead on distributed renewables for energy access, and investment in and finance for renewables. Thomas started his career as an electronic hardware engineer and project manager in a French SME. After studying sustainability, He joined Schneider Electric in early 2010 to contribute to the creation of its energy access inclusive business program. He first covered coordination and then business development positions in parallel of conducting a PhD thesis, questioning the interactions between Base of the Pyramid, CSR and corporate strategies.
