I am a hardworking and self-motivated analyst with over two years of experience in economic research. Skilled in quantitative analysis and analytical writing, I can produce work that is thoughtful, well-organised, and thorough. I am passionate about disentangling complex issues and improving the economic, social, and wellbeing outcomes of others through rigorous economic research and analysis.After completing my Honours degree, I joined New Zealand’s top-ranked economic research institute, Motu, as a full-time research analyst. During my time at Motu, I have worked on a wide range of projects, being a coauthor of five working papers and the lead author of a journal article published in New Zealand Economic Papers. I have learnt how to conduct literature reviews, employ different empirical methodologies, clean and analyse data, and write project reports. I have also presented research findings at two New Zealand Association of Economists conferences. These experiences have honed my research and analytical skills, laying the foundation for a career in economic and policy analysis.
