INTRAL Corporation spun off from the Gillette Company in 1987. INTRAL was the first company in the nation to offer outsourced international logistics management. Today, a variety of international businesses rely on INTRAL to manage all functions related to the worldwide procurement, transport and distribution of goods. As a founding member of the INTRAL team, my most recent position reported directly to the President. Some of my responsibilities included: managing a staff responsible for all operational activities, working with outside vendors to source raw materials, and negotiating telephone equipment contracts. In addition, I managed international freight movement including freight forwarder selection/management and negotiation of international freight contracts directly with various carriers with an end result of improved service and cost savings for our clients. I also managed both the initial and ongoing development of our in house logistics management system which included order processing, forecasting, export documentation, inventory of finished goods, raw materials, piece parts, components, machinery and equipment. I was responsible for conducting performance reviews, interviews and hiring new employees.

Responsibilities included: managing staff responsible for inventory control, invoice processing, exports, carrier selection, forwarder selection, rate negotiations, audit & payment of freight bills, and managing international household effects shipments.

Responsibilities included: coordinating the efforts to distribute products from vendors, suppliers and distribution centers to Gillette affiliates and third party customers worldwide.

Responsibilities included: inventory management, arranging international household effect shipments of executives moving around the world, preparing export shipments and all documentation needed to move product from the Gillette export warehouse to affiliates and customers around the world.

Responsibilities included: loading and unloading trailers and ocean containers for export, properly packing and labeling finished goods, raw materials, machinery and equipment, and piece parts and components for export, and preparing export documents and conducting physical inventory.

Drafted into U.S Army. Trained in radio repair at Fort Monmouth NJ, where after successfully completing course, I was transferred to Fort Hauchucca, AZ to work in radio repair. After serving in the military, I received an Honorable Discharge.
