My company provides ongoing Technical direction and Design services for this long established theater company in Santa Monica, CA. Some of those services involve:- Providing leadership and planning to the overall business and artistic strategies of the theater.-Planning and Implementing all design and production activities within the theater.- Providing the general upkeep and repair of the facility.- Providing quality control on all labor and resources used in the development and execution of all plays and projects at the theater.- Contribute to the planning for future growth and development of the physical plant and theater resource programs.

Jamaica

This was a multiple day event (5 days) in Jamaica that required their outdoor stadium venue (at Rose-Field Hall) to each day be transformed for an entirely different type of entertainment presentation. In addition there were several other locations near the vicinity of the stadium that had to be decorated for a variety of different celebration, party, and meeting events.My job required that I first coordinate with the key corporate client (Risarc, LLC) and a variety of event producers (from live event, comedy, and music performance to sports presentation), a stadium rigging company, lighting, sound and projection companies, catering companies, tent providers, decorating companies and programming officials within the organization on the planning and logistics of their respective activities and end up creating an overall Site Plan for the event. The entire event was televised to American and European concerns, so I had to also confer with a variety of television producers and technicians about their on-site needs. Once this site plan was agreed upon, I then designed and coordinated with various set construction firms and professional individuals on the construction, painting and rigging of the variety of stages, booths, and themed settings that were needed. It was in this phase that I also developed preliminary and working budgets, as well as priority lists for managing the production of these settings. Lastly, I also with a variety of local decorating firms on the décor and resources that would be needed for the various meetings and special events that would be held throughout the 5-day event. Once all of my constructed elements were just about done I coordinated with the various event collaborators on the final placement of their gear and on the refinement of the overall logistics needed to actually install everything unto that outdoor venue. All of this required my collaboration with multiple construction, trucking, rigging, and installation concerns as well.

Hollywood, Ca

I was responsible for all set design and technical set requirements for all internal productions and performance related events within the school. This included classroom presentations. Each academic year I usually designed and managed no less than thirty-five productions. Under the direction of their Production Manager, Diana Brown, I supervised an annual staff of 3 persons and several work-study students (approx. 15 per semester) in the construction and installation of sets and set dressings for these performances.

I was the Production Designer/Art director for all of the visual aspects of an annual convention for all of the Indian Gaming nations in America. My responsibilities included collaborating with lighting, sound, projection, and rigging specialists in developing all of the presentational elements of this live, multi-day convention. This included, but was not limited to, stage designs; meeting rooms decor; advertising and marketing displays; convention booth designs; and multi-media displays.

Greater Los Angeles Area

I was essentially an In-House Production Designer for all of their creative TV and concert productions on the West coast. I was responsible every aspect of these shows, from inception to installation and strike. During my ten year period with them I worked on talk-shows, sit-coms, musical concerts, as well as a host of special promotional and industrial events. On these I not only developed and managed the show budgets, but as well, I managed the necessary art department crews, construction crews and show running crews for these television and live events.
