Peterbilt took notice of Hunter’s progress in 1983 and awarded Hunter a Peterbilt franchise. As the company grew, so did the number of family members in the business. Eldest son Harry joined Homer in 1960; his brother Bob followed in 1963. Together, they forged trusting customer relationships, each contributing based on their unique strengths. Homer instilled his customer-centric values and model business ethics in his sons. They steered the company on the road toward long-term success and it continues on that path today. Guided by a strong internal compass, the Hunter Family has seized opportunities along the way, always staying focused on truck-related business and opportunities to serve the customer better. Today, the Hunter Companies have 15 locations including a full service body shop and several leasing facilities. Hunter employs more than 725 people.
