I'm an accountant by training whose taken on much broader roles by utilizing skills from my prior careers in construction and education. 11+ years ago I started as Mall Accountant and Lease Administrator with broad onsite responsibilities. Five years later I transitioned to a more focused role as Lease and Budget Analyst managing several additional properties remotely. I have gradually taken on more management duties approving billings and handling tenant audits. My next step will be moving into the full responsibilities of Accounting Manager.I specialize in enclosed malls and other large, complex retail properties. My responsibilities center around building and maintaining fully functioning budget models used to calculate recovery impounds. These models also provide key analytics to leasing, property management and other departments. I also create the billings and reconciliations using the same models. Because I handle the most complex properties I am naturally a resource for everyone in the company on legal and billing issues, much as I have been in all my positions.
