2000 – 2005 IT Support Information Management Division Supported and maintained up to 20 file servers running various Windows operating systems, SQL servers and Lotus Notes servers ensuring that all perform to agreed Service Level Agreements negotiated with business areas and that differential and full backups performed on all servers. Creation of new user accounts when necessary using Active DirectoryLiaising with Dell and Compaq engineers for hardware replacements within agreed SLA times.Help desk support – providing 1st line and 2nd line support, resolution of customers’ PC/software issues either over the phone, by email using remote access software or by visiting the customer.Upgrading and building Desktop PCs using Ghost software. Roll out of PCs when upgraded.1990 – 2000 Executive Officer Fertility Statistics Unit Compiled tabulations of births and abortions for annual, quarterly and monthly publications,supplying data to various sources such as members of the public, the media, and interested organisations and for Parliamentary Questions using mainframe and PC versions of SAS, a statistical and tabulation package, from various databases. Overseeing the running of an OS/2 based file server ensuring backups and user accounts were maintained. 1982 – 1990 Admin Officer Medical Statistics Unit I compiled tabulations of deaths by cause and area for annual, quarterly and monthly publications, supplying data to various sources such as members of the public, interested organisations and for Parliamentary Questions and ad hoc data from the computer mainframe using in house tabulation programs.1980 – 1982 Admin Officer Parliamentary Boundary CommissionAdministration and clerical duties supporting the Executive in the creation of new Parliamentary constituencies in line with acts of Parliament. Replied to letters and phone calls from members of the public, various organisations and Members of Parliament.
