After graduation from UTHSC with my DPT in 2022, I sought to improve my physical therapy practice. This is what drew me to Upstream Rehabilitation's Orthopedic Residency program. Through the Residency, I have expanded my knowledge and transformed the way I work with patient's to include the most up-to-date evidence informed practice. In so doing, I have managed to achieve 10.6% better outcomes for my patient's compared to the national average as measured by KEET patient related outcome measures. I have managed this with thorough red and yellow flag screening via the OSPRO, as well as utilizing evidence informed practice through both Upstream's residency as well as APTA's current concepts monographs. Additionally, I have received 5 five-star reviews for my company in which I was named in the last few months, the most in my clinic in that time frame, increasing our google review score to 4.8/5.My dream is to teach in the University. I can think of nothing that would excite me more each day than the opportunity to work in the University to educate DPT students. I worked for the Memphis Chess Club for a year as a beginner's chess instructor, and have thoroughly enjoyed taking DPT students through my work at Results Physiotherapy. Becoming a professor would not be a job for me, but a dream career. I am scheduled to take my OCS exam in March of 2024. I am also applying to the Upstream Rehabilitation Institutes fellowship program, with hopes of being accepted into the program in January of 2024.Tambien, puedo comunicar en Espanol suficiente para explicar todo lo que necesito durante un session de terapia.
