As the Director of Communications for Howell Public Schools, I spearheaded our communication efforts, skillfully engaging students, parents, and the broader community. Through strategic communication and dedicated community outreach, I contributed to the successful passage of one non-homestead millage renewal and two bond proposals, securing vital resources for our district's growth. Furthermore, I implemented innovative strategies to foster transparency and trust among our stakeholders, collaborating closely with school administrators, teachers, and staff to effectively communicate our district's mission and achievements. My commitment to safety extends beyond communication, as I have completed FEMA Emergency Preparedness Courses, including Public Information Officer Awareness, Public Information Office Basic, and Multi-Hazard Emergency Planning for Schools. This training equips me to handle crisis communications and ensure the safety of our educational institutions, reflecting my key role in supporting crisis communications and emergency preparedness initiatives for the well-being of our students and staff.
