Communications Specialist For The Office Of The Inspector General

Responsible for communicating the work of the Office of the Inspector General of the Global Fund. The Office of the Inspector General safeguards the assets, investments, reputation and sustainability of the Global Fund by ensuring that it takes the right action to end the epidemics of AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. Responsibilities included: WRITING AND MESSAGING -Writing support, positioning, and content development for the Inspector General in all communications to the Board, partners, media, donor and recipient countries (reports, thought leadership, speeches, presentations…)-Redesigning main-message-first and reader-focused outputs to ensure effective communications -Organizing writing and media workshops for technical staff to encourage use of plain English LIAISING ACROSS A MULTI-STAKEHOLDER ORGANIZATION-Liaising with different teams, countries, partners to understand needs and influence change-Designing and implementing a communications strategy for more effective stakeholder engagement with built-in safeguards for sensitive Inspector General reports -Managing media response and crisis communications following publication of high profile corruption reportsDEVELOPING MEDIA -Media outreach for positive messaging of the work of the Inspector General-Creating and cultivating new channels to amplify the Inspector General’s messaging (LinkedIn group, Twitter, YouTube, friendly media…)COMMUNICATION CAMPAIGNS IN CHALLENGING ENVIRONMENTS-Designing and project managing anti-corruption communication campaigns in Malawi, Côte d’Ivoire and Ukraine to encourage whistle-blowers to speak out about abuse of medicines -Creating a multimedia e-learning platform to raise awareness of corruption http://www.ispeakoutnow.org-Developing public radio announcements, visuals for billboards, printing assets for illiterate populations -Launching campaign to local media in Malawi, Côte d’Ivoire and Ukraine in partnership with local stakeholders to fight corruption
