I have been working on identifying the risks and behaviors of gay/queer individuals in the urban setting. Focusing on the Mayor's 'Running Start for Careers' initiative.• Serving as the Director under President on the board of directors for Albuquerque Pride, Inc.New Mexico's largest LGBTQ+ 301(c)(3) organization. • Certified harm reduction specialist with the New Mexico Department of Health. I conduct harm reduction education and support for at risk individuals. This includes education in reducing the risk and harm for drug users. Overdose prevention which includes Naloxone/(Narcan) usage and administration, syringe exchange programs and knowing the different services that are available for a variety of services relating to.•Certified HIV/HCV Testing Counselor. Through the Dept. of Health, Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains and our local M'Powerment project, I have gone through the training and education to provide rapid HIV and HCV testing while providing a safe environment to asses risk and find a way to continue. I enjoy being able to help provide a safe and healthy environment to support and educate the community. I am a proponent of various organizations in Albuquerque and New Mexico which focus on harm reduction and disease prevention. Some of which include, NMCPAG and NLAAD.
