During my time at Platform.sh I've had the opportunity to see the frontend team grow from just a couple people to a much larger effort. I was able to take on the role as a director and lead the frontend efforts of both the product and marketing teams. Practically speaking, my team works on React applications which encompass anything from small, utility applications for internal use, to marketing sites, to Platform.sh's primary web user-interface. During my time in this role I've been able to leverage my skills in the following ways: * Team management and leadership: * Provided direction and technical leadership to the frontend engineering team. * Set work expectations and best practices for our remote-first team environment, which crosses timezones from UTC+2 to UTC-7. * Fostered a collaborative and inclusive team-focused environment. * Set clear goals and expectations for the team, provide regular feedback and performance evaluations. * Provided mentoring and guide individual team members to help grow their career and technical skills.* Frontend architecture * Lead the frontend architecture strategy to help ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance. * Collaborated with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers and other engineering teams, to define and deliver frontend solutions that meet our products goals. * Promoted and enforced coding standards, code reviews, and testing practices to maintain high-quality codebase. * Helped steer the migration of a large codebase too TypeScript. * Release Management, deployment, and Quality Assurance * Oversee the release management process, ensuring smooth and timely delivery of frontend features and enhancements. * Established the released process and pipeline architecture. * Bootstrapped Platform.sh’s first QA-focused team to help ensure release quality.

Primary responsibilities: - The project lead for the ramp up to re-launch for Platform’s primary customer facing web interface, console.platform.sh. Console is a React app that replaced Platform’s legacy UI. - Collaborating with executive and product team to help prioritize the direction console.platform.sh- Manage continuous delivery processes and release management for console.platform.sh- Perform peer review and technical leadership for console.platform.sh - Contributed to various client-side (mostly React) and server side (Node.js) JavaScript projects across the company

During my time as a web developer I'm privilege to also have had the opportunity to build relationships with individual clients. I've served in various roles doing freelance work for projects along the following:- React/JavaScript focused projects- Custom Drupal development and site building- Drupal theming- General web strategy and information architecture consultingThese projects have been anything from situations where I was the solo dev working to other scenarios where I was augmenting a larger team.

- Collaborating remotely with teams on large media publishing projects- CSS architecture including SMACSS and BEM implemented with Sass- Custom Drupal 7/8 theming (theme function overrides, theme structure, and light module dev) and Drupal site building - Scoping and delivering estimates to clients- Planning production deployment workflows including CI setup - JavaScript libs including jQuery, React, and Drupal's JS API- Implementing responsive web designs for cross browser and device compatibility- Command line tools like drush, rub gems, and npm packages- Full-stack JavaScript application development using React/Redux- Auditing sites for performance and Accessibility- Build processes using task runners gulp and grunt

My start at Classic (now Imagine!) began as an intern in the Development department. In January of 2012 I was given the opportunity to come on full-time as a part of the development team with a focus on Theming/Front-end work. Imagine Classic Graphics was been using Drupal heavily since version 4.6 and years later Drupal was still their platform of choice to and build and maintain web applications. I had the great pleasure of collaborating on applications for large-scale enterprise organizations.
