85 hours of volunteer work throughout the summers of 2013 and 2014 (intermittently during my summer research project in 2014).My role involved assisting on school-based educational trips for local primary and secondary school groups to various shore habitats. In addition to this, I also volunteered at public events, such as Seashore Safaris at the Menai Bridge Seafood Festival, raising awareness of biogenic reefs at Llandullas (Sabellaria aveolata) and offering information on nesting terns to visitors at the Cemlyn Reserve (North Anglesey).In addition to the educational aspect, I also wrote a literature review on the effects of marine current turbines on the ecosystem, as well as participating in ornithological surveys at the Cemlyn Reserve.
